Storytelling and parenting with a spiritual vision

Welcome!

Childhood is a time of lively imagination, and engaging children in storytelling and dramatic arts greatly supports their healthy growth. Here I share the stories and activities that nurture a spiritual potential of a child, as well as some parenting tips and creative ideas from our homeschooling classroom.

The stories I share here originate from the Vedic scriptures of ancient India. The great wisdom contained in these scriptures is most accessible to people through stories. There are stories from the Bhagavata Purana, Mahabharata, Ramayana, and similar sources. I have recounted them to be suitable for storytelling to preschool and early school-age children.

Most of the stories are based on the works of Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who presented them in the spirit of the Vaishnava bhakti tradition. I beg for his blessings, to be able to convey the message of the higher spiritual truth by this humble attempt.

Also, you can find here some of the stories that I have written – nature stories that feed the child’s soul with spiritual messages from the nature around us.
